Hi, I’m Christin
(Pronounced Christine, it’s a story best told over a cuppa)
I’m the heart behind The Snug Sessions, a Belfast-based newborn, family, and maternity photographer. I’m also a single mum to two small wildlings who remind me daily that life is raw, beautiful, and fleeting. Those tiny moments of connection, the quiet in-betweens, the way love shows up in a glance or a touch, that is what I live to capture.
I studied Fine and Applied Art at university and from the very beginning I knew I was meant to create. Photography became my way of holding on to the little things, the ones that are gone in a heartbeat. I have spent over ten years documenting families, and when I attended my first newborn photography workshop with Emer McCubbin in 2016, something inside me clicked. I fell in love with the art of slowing down, of noticing, of capturing the miracle of new life.
The Snug Sessions was born from that love. I wanted to create something different from the traditional posed newborn portraits. Something softer, slower, and more honest. My sessions are baby-led and natural, following their movements, their comfort, and their rhythm. Using natural light, soft textures, and a touch of vintage charm, I create images that feel like memories.
Every session is a gentle celebration of love, life, and the quiet magic of beginnings.
